Dive In Digitally to the Scuttlebutt Library
What products can help best extend the lifetime of my boat?
Which boat models provide luxury amenities that won’t break the bank?
Do I really need yacht insurance?
Since 1992, we here at Great Lakes Scuttlebutt have strived to provide resources to all Great Lakes boaters and businesses at no cost. So much of which has been done to answer questions like these and many others — like which local food haunts are great when docking on Lake Michigan, or what advice do current captains have on popular ports of call? Luckily, tracking down this exemplary content has never been easier with the Scuttlebutt Library.
Now the dive doesn’t have to be so deep to read up on the latest Scuttlebutt stories. Here you can catch up on the latest and greatest models no matter your style of boating. The Scuttlebutt digital library is a one stop shop to view each issue of every Scuttlebutt magazine — all in one place. By clicking the menu option in the top left corner, you’ll see the three publication options. From here, readers can click on any of the 3 and see an archive of all past issues for that publication. If any products, services or boats call your attention, you can also find current and past advertisers by clicking the Advertisers tab on the left hand side.

Take in the Hurricane SunDeck 3200 that’s perfect for pleasure boating, or the Formula 360 Crossover Bowrider for day boating, both showcased in this past Summer’s 2025 issue. Marvel at the how the boat tech has developed over the last few years, from the FishHunter Pro and 3D models, highlighted in our 2018 buyer’s guide, to the geofencing technology of an autohelm system, noted in last year’s buyers guide.
"Our primary purpose is simply to connect boaters with boating businesses,” says Erik Kyle.
“We've had to change with the times... to connect from print to adding digital and social platforms where more and more boaters are consuming content in today's world."
So step out of the scuba suit and hang up the tank and mask because deep diving for your favorite boating content can now be done from the safety of your home (which might still be your boat!)
