MJM Yachts Upgrades & Relaunches Model Line for 2026

Luxury yacht builder MJM Yachts is proud to announce it has refreshed and upgraded its entire yacht line for the 2026 model year, while maintaining the brand’s legendary performance and distinctive Carolina Downeast DNA. The company also will introduce the new MJM 38RS fishing/cruising crossover model for 2026. The updated MJM fleet launches to dealers in July and will be on display at fall boat shows.
“Our 2026 model year is about aligning the MJM brand for the future – elevating luxury, broadening our customer base, and bringing new energy to the fleet while staying true to the craftsmanship that defines us,” said MJM President & CEO Natascia Hatch.
As part of its line relaunch, MJM has rechristened its existing models with names more in keeping with their LOA. This rebadging was done to eliminate confusion in the marketplace, especially among buyers new to the brand
  • The 38’6” MJM 3 open-bow day yacht is now the MJM 38X.
  • The 38’6” MJM 35 enclosed-cabin cruising yacht is the MJM 38R.
  • The 46’8” MJM 4 outboard- or inboard-powered day yacht is the MJM 47X.
  • The 46’8” MJM 42 outboard- or inboard cruising yacht is the MJM 47R.
  • The new fishing/cruising crossover yacht model follows suit as the MJM 38RS.
Another goal for the 2026 fleet was to expand the experience of warmth and luxury throughout the model range. “MJM yachts are Crafted for Life, so we felt the touch and feel needed to be more luxurious,” Hatch said.

Design enhancements include adding teak accents to the pilothouses and upgrading the quality of the upholstery for the seats. The 2026 models all feature glass helms, and CZone digital switching is standard on the 47X. The interior décor for the cabin yachts also has been refreshed with new Whisper Wall wallcoverings.
After consulting with dealers and customers, MJM made a major design change to the former MJM 3 cruising yacht by adding a galley-up version for the new 38R model. Moving the galley to the pilothouse allowed the company to enlarge the head and make it a dry rather than wet head.
MJM’s in-house design and engineering teams partnered with Doug Zurn, MJM’s original naval architect, to ensure these fleet upgrades are in keeping with brand DNA. Zurn also collaborated on the design of the MJM 38RS, creating an open aft cockpit for angling and adding an island live well and full complement of rod holders and rocket launchers. “The addition of the new 38RS speaks directly to our strategy of broadening our customer base and delivering the experiences owners are passionate about,” Hatch said.
She also announced that through streamlining MJM’s manufacturing process, increasing efficiency and better aligning materials to operations, the company has reduced its labor hours and material costs. Despite the investment it has made in upgrading its 2026 fleet, this will enable MJM Yachts to offer lower retail pricing for its 2026 models. “We want to pass the savings on to our customers, because I want more customers to be able to experience just how incredible our boats are,” Hatch said.
