Boston Whaler 280 Outrage

The Boston Whaler 280 Outrage’s bottom is designed to deliver the best of all worlds, with a flat pad aft to provide quicker planing times, better fuel efficiency at cruise speeds, and a higher top end. Her deep-V bottom has 23 degrees of deadrise at the transom so we would expect her to deliver a good ride in rough water. With a pair of 300-hp Mercury V-6 outboards, our test boat planed in 4.1 seconds and ran through 20 mph in 5.3. She hit a top speed of 49.6 knots at 6300 rpm and at speed, she felt agile and stable.
